Hello, chill in the air. I could be totally wrong, but I feel like September is usually still really hot here so the amazing weather this past week has been the biggest treat. We did break out the Halloween books last week, but I was also excited to put together a few fallish books as the season changes. Book links will take you to my affiliate link through bookshop.org or to my UBAM bookshop page.

Goodbye Summer, Hello Autumn by Kenard Pak | I love, love, love these illustrations that follow along as summer winds down and we welcome autumn.
Bear Says Thanks by Karma Wilson & Jane Chapman | I know there’s a whole Bear series, but this is the first one we’ve read. It actually reminded me a bit of this little book we got from Chickfila about a bear and a squirrel that Mason loves (the name is escaping me as I’m writing this post), but this was a great story about friendship and being grateful with larger than life illustrations that make you feel like you’re part of the story.

I am a Bunny | Nicholas the bunny is perfect for every season, but the fall pages are my favorite.
Baby’s Very First Touchy Feel Colors Playbook | This might not be a seasonal book but this page (& the orange page) always make me think of fall every time we read it. This has been a really fun one for Theo with flaps, cutouts, and different textures.
Are you there little fox? | This is another one that isn’t technically seasonal, but the colors give off major fall vibes. Fun fact, this was Mason’s very first Usborne book and it has stood the test of time.
What are your favorite seasonal books for this time of the year? Children’s books or adult. I usually enjoy something on the mildly spooky side & am currently reading The Guest List.
